PRODUCT INFO
Our plinths are press-molded using 3200 degree Fahrenheit refractory cement. Each plinth comes with a small packet of Frankote ceramic coating to help prevent crucibles from sticking to the plinth.
Plinths are tapered from 4 inches in diameter at the top to 4 1/2 inches in diameter at the bottom.
Plinths are used to raise the crucible towards the top of the furnace. This places the crucible in the hottest part of the furnace and reduces the possibility of metal splashing out of a full crucible.
